How to Earn Money From Home - The Easy Way

I titled this article 'how to earn money from home the easy way' because I think I have stumbled on one of the easiest ways that exist.
Now it is both easy in one sense and hard in another. It is easy because all you have to do is navigate through web pages and write quality content. It is hard because you will have to get started working without any guarantee of a paycheck, and you'll have to work hard.
Quite simply the only way you're going to make a job killing income, unless you're already experienced, is to gain that experience by working a job killing amount of hours.
The perks you'll gain are not monetary but they are valuable. You'll learn very marketable skills in today's economic climate, in my opinion more useful to you than a college diploma. This is just my opinion and I in no way want to deter anyone from getting a college diploma, I currently have one.
Affiliate marketing or internet marketing is the best way you can learn how to earn money from home. I say learn because I can't just give you the confidence you'll need to earn that money. You have to go out and find it yourself, I wish I could just give it to you but that is impossible.

Why Johnny Can't Make Money Online Part 3 - Head Full of Stuffing Syndrome

If you've read my first two installments in this series, we've covered the reasons why people get into an online business and external factors as two of the reasons why people can't make money online. In this installment, I'm going to cover what I call the "head full of stuffing" syndrome. In plain English...information overload OR lack of information. Keep reading to find out why this is one of the most frustrating aspects of success that online business persons face.
Unless you have an education in business, which isn't a guarantee that you're going to have any success in itself, you're coming into this with a head full of nothing. You're totally at a loss as to where to even begin. Unless you have friends who can help you, you're totally on your own. Most people will, at that point, turn to the search engines...Google being the search engine of choice for about 50% of the population.
And if you're like most people, you'll type in something like, "How can I make money from home?" After doing this, you'll get a list of about 300,000 sites IF you type this with quotes to try to narrow things down at least a bit. Still, 300,000 sites is a lot to choose from. And each one has something different to say. You'll find a number of suggestions for making money from home including affiliate marketing, freelancing, creating your own products, network marketing and on and on. The choices are endless.
Where do you begin? Most people will just pick something that interests them, if anything. But then there is the problem of, "Okay, this is what I want to do...how do I do it?" That's where we then get into web page design, promotional tactics, and so on. There are more ways to promote a product or service online than Carter has liver pills. Problem is, some tactics work better than others to start off with. Add to that the fact that some tactics, like article writing, take skill...and you've got yourself another mess on your hands.
Who do you trust? What are you qualified to even do given your skill level? Can you increase your skill level? If so, can you find the right kind of instruction in order to make that happen? Gradually, your head full of nothing becomes a head full of stuffing. You've read and read and read until you're blue in the face. You are now more confused than ever. It just might save you from months of frustration spinning your wheels trying to figure this thing called making money online out.

Why Johnny Can't Make Money Online Part 2 - The Pressure Cooker Syndrome

In this installment of "Why Johnny Can't Make Money Online" I'm going to go over the second reason why this is so. It's called the pressure cooker syndrome. Well, that's what I call it anyway. If you're not familiar with it, don't worry...by the time you're done reading this article, you'll know EXACTLY what it is. In fact, you might find that you're suffering from it as well. Many people do.
Most folks who look to make money online think it really only comes down to two things...what you know and executing what you know. For example, you know how to write salescopy. So you simply advertise that you're a copywriter and get clients. It's that simple. And yes, in theory, it IS that simple. You take your skill, put it out there and make money doing it. I do it all the time. But then that pressure cooker syndrome gets in the way and all the knowledge in the world goes right out the window. What am I talking about?
Well, the pressure cooker is different for each person. For some, it may be that nagging wife or husband who is always complaining to you that you spend too much time on the computer and not enough time with them. People can be really possessive if they want to be. For others, maybe it's the responsibility of having another job or a child to care for. Other responsibilities can really get in the way of making a living online.
And then you've got what I call the real pressure cooker. This may be the worst of them all because there is usually little you can do to conquer this one. I'm talking about people who have serious health issues. Some folks can't even sit at their computer for more than two hours because they're in so much pain. It's really hard to make a living online when you can just about concentrate.
Point I'm trying to make is this. No matter what you know about running a business or how great your product or service is, there are always going to be external factors that will make your job harder. I have them. I've had health issues for over 20 years now. But I have learned to live with them. Some days I can't work, so I don't. The days I can, I do what I can. Fortunately, I've been able to do enough to run a successful business for over seven years now.
But some people can't. They either let these external factors get to them or they literally can't do anything about them. I truly feel for these people. However, if you have external factors that CAN be dealt with...deal with them. Don't let them take over your life. A nagging spouse can be dealt with by asking just one simple question. "Do you want to eat tomorrow?" If the bills being paid depend on you making this work, your spouse will take the hint.
External factors are sometimes hard to overcome, but they CAN be overcome.

Why Johnny Can't Make Money Online Part 1 - Rotten to the Core

In this first of a four part series, I'm going to explain why Johnny, or you, can't make money online. A lot of what you're going to read is going to be hard to swallow. Hearing the truth is never easy. And in this case, the problem begins at the core.
What do I mean by the core? I mean the REASON why you're getting into this business in the first place. Think the reasons don't matter? Think again. And while I can think of a zillion reasons why somebody would want to run their own home business, these are the ones that are most common.
1. Loss of job or poor paying job.
2. Excited by glamour of it.
3. True passion for some topic.
4. Greed
Let's begin with number 1 and see how this can be a stumbling block.
When a person loses a job or has a poor paying job, they are usually under a lot of stress. Why? Well, when money is tight, bills don't get paid. Maybe this means less entertainment time. Quality of life goes down. Trust me, this is not the kind of frame of mine you want to be in when running a business. Ultimately, many of the people who fall into this category crack under the stress and thus can't focus on their business.
End result...failure.
Let's move on to number 2...excited by glamour of it.
Maybe you know somebody who is running their own home business and making a killing. They have a wonderful life. They take trips and meet all kinds of people. The lifestyle is amazing. You're so drawn to it that you want to take a crack at it yourself.
Problem is, you don't see all the work that goes into the business. When you actually dive into it, you see what's involved and all of a sudden, the glamour isn't so glamorous. And since you don't really NEED the money (point 1) you're just not motivated enough to continue.
End result...failure.
Let's move onto number 3...true passion for some topic.
Let's say you're a musician and you want to start a business where you teach people how to play guitar by ear. You have a true passion for this. Problem is, you have no business sense and don't really have a drive to learn HOW to run a business. You don't want to do all the boring things. You just want to put up your great site and have people come to it to buy YOUR great product.
But they don't come because YOU don't know how to run a business and don't REALLY want to learn.
End result...failure.
Finally, we have greed. These are people who see nothing but dollar signs in their eyes and want nothing else in life. Just show them where the money is. They'll do every unethical thing to get it too.
Problem with most of these people is they either get tired of constantly having to out run the law or they get caught. The stress of this kind of life, no matter how greedy you are, can kill you.

Consistency and being focused
Yes I bought this little gem and I am still working on it to make it work better. Let's face it: without any work from your side, you will not see any money.
What you need is:
Only buy, if you are ready to succeed. If you think money will start rolling in when you sit and do nothing, don't get it! It will be a waste of your money and you will blame: me, circumstances, economic situation etc.
Who is responsible for your life???

- goals, the more the better
- being focused
- consistency
- determination to succeed
- and an easy, yet proven system that works

If you have not made this move, you should start immediately.
Building a list and keeping it, is an ongoing process. People do not have much time these days,so you need to get straight to the point without beating around the bush.
List building does not have to be a hard task.
If you run a restaurant, you can quickly build a list by offering a free recipe of your favourite dish. Do it on a weekly basis and your list will grow in a short period of time.
If you run a shoe shop, you can send your subscribers a monthly newsletter informing them about fashion trends.
Craft business can offer monthly hints on creative activities for special occasions. And so on.
Once your list builds up, you can follow the customers with special offers targeted at your specific market. Any targeted advertising is much more cost effective, than sending emails or letters to everyone. Targeted market converts better in sales.
Another way of getting new subscribers is offering certain information for members only, thus creating an exclusive club, while standard information is made available to everybody.Subscribers are made to feel privileged by being informed about discounted offers not available to a wider group.
One thing needs to be remembered: everyone receives tons of useless information, so you cannot be yet another person adding to the rubbish.
If you bombard your prospects with an unworthy newsletter, you do not show much appreciation for them, nor do you gain credibility and they are likely to remove themselves from your list at high speed.
Another thing you need to remember is to give subscribers a chance to unsubscribe. The way to do it should be made plain and clear and well visible. There is nothing more annoying than trying to remove your own
email address from a database of a particular company when it is made almost impossible or the whole process takes far too long.
By law, you are obliged to register with Information Commissioner, if you intend to collect and store personal information like email address, name and postal address. The registration requires you to pay a small fee and gives your customers peace of mind. You must not ever store credit card details.
And another thing: treat your customers like you would like to be treated. Loyalty cannot be taken for granted. Treat your customers with respect and your sales will improve. Always answer questions your clients send to you and do not dismiss them even if they are awkward. Try to answer to the best of your ability and look for the answers if you do not know them.
In one of our own businesses we managed to build a list of targeted subscribers within a few weeks. This list is still growing and became another asset of our business.
And to be honest, it is one of the biggest assets of any business.

Are you still waiting for cheese to appear?
You may be surpried by the title of my article. Well, I am just referring to the book by Dr. Spencer Johnson entitled: "Who moved my cheese?"
The author compares finding cheese to acquiring one of the following:
In any business you cannot keep on doing things in exactly the same way if circumstances change and what worked two years ago, does not work now.
You may be still working, but may not be productive.
"If you don't change, you can become extinct."
The sooner you let go of the past, the sooner you will find a new cheese. New cheese means new opportunities.
People are often afraid of changes. At the same time they are afraid if "old stuff" no longer works. This is the situation we face now: redundancies can be compared to cheese that has been moved, taken away. These, who started looking for a new one (new oppportunity), will find their new cheese (e.g. using internet to work). Hems (one of the characters from the book) will be left with nothing...

Unless they have been living in a cave somewhere then pretty much everyone has heard of sites such a Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, how could they not have? These sites are so popular that they are not only mentioned frequently in on TV shows and in movies but they have also become headline news on numerous occasions. Facebook has apparently had a hand in helping to catch several criminals and you have no doubt heard the stories of celebrities airing their opinions of one another on Twitter.
My point is this...social networking sites are HUGE hotbeds of activity; from bored housewives wanting some social interaction to celebrities wanting to connect with their fans, from teenagers wanting to chat with friends to grandmothers trying to keep up to date with their families and from musicians promoting their music to gamers sharing their MMO exploits, social networking sites cover almost every social group you can think of. Don't believe me? Try typing Amish into Facebook, last time I looked there were over 3000 fans for the Amish as a religious organisation. For a culture that doesn't allow technology that really is impressive!
So what does this have to do with making money?
With so many people gathering in one place there is no doubt going to be a way to make money from it. You can advertise your business on Facebook, this does cost money but the fact of the matter is that Facebook not only has much better audience targeting system for its advertisers but it also has MORE people visiting it than Google does!
People began advertising their products and services on Facebook fairly early on, they create pages or even whole new profiles specifically for their businesses and websites then invite people to join thus gaining free advertising. Groups are created for everything from financial advisors to ghost hunters.
And what about the applications? Facebook is rife with little browser games that give the user a few minutes of entertainment per day, people log on to check on their game and spend pretend money on decorating and buying new items. The creators of these applications can earn money from advertisements but that's not all. Not only do you have the choice of paying pretend money for you game items, you also have the option to use real money. I was stunned to find that people were joining a group that was campaigning to be able to spend MORE money on a game, when I asked why on earth you would want to spend real cash on the game I was told that a young boy had managed to ride up a £6000 bill on his mother's credit card. Most people on these social networking sites don't just play one or two games they play multiple games. Even if they are not spending real money they are still providing the application designers with a nice profit in advertising.
How do you cash in on the social networking sites?
This depends on what it is that you do. Can you design browser games for people on Facebook and MySpace? Great then crack on with it. Once you are finish pass it on to your friends and ask them to do the same, ask people to test it and tell you what they think then use the feedback to make it more appealing.
